Altona Cold Storage's blast freezing facilities allow for optimal, continuous airflow and temperatures as low as -25 degrees Celsius. Our state-of-the-art freezing facilities can maximise product shelf life and preserve product integrity and freshness.

Our purpose-built facilities provide customers with the capacity to blast freeze up to 200 tones of product per day, ensuring product in bulk is kept frozen for extended periods. Since freezing occurs quickly, bacteria don’t have time to multiply. The food remains free of these microorganisms. Blast freezing is helpful from a business standpoint, as it keeps you safe from creating health hazards in your product and helps keep the general public health.
